Heat Pump Installation Tips & FAQs
George Brazil is here to help you prevent costly and inconvenient heating system issues. Here are a few tips to keep your system running efficiently and your indoor air quality optimal:
How much does a new heat pump cost?
Heat pump cost depends on the system type, home size, and installation needs. Air source heat pump installation tends to be more affordable, while geothermal heat pump costs are higher upfront but offer long-term savings. We offer transparent quotes and flexible heat pump financing options to fit your budget.
At George Brazil of Phoenix, we provide custom quotes and financing options to make your new heat pump affordable.

How does a heat pump work?
A heat pump system transfers heat rather than generating it, which makes it incredibly energy efficient. In heat pump heating mode, it moves warmth into your home. In heat pump cooling mode, it reverses the process to remove heat from your home, similar to a central air heat pump, but with dual-season functionality.
How long does heat pump installation take?
Many heat pump installations are finished within 48 hours, depending on your home and what’s needed. If your home needs additional electrical or ductwork modifications, installation may take longer. Our team will provide a clear timeline and keep the process hassle-free.
We’ll walk you through the whole process and give you a clear timeline and upfront estimate before any work begins.
Will a new heat pump lower my energy bills?
Yes. New high-efficiency heat pumps use less energy to deliver consistent heating and cooling. Ground source heat pump and geothermal heat pump systems offer the highest efficiency levels, but even a modern air source heat pump can significantly reduce monthly utility costs.
How to choose the right type of heat pump
Choosing the right heat pump depends on your home’s size, layout, insulation, and energy goals. We install and service all major types of heat pumps:
- Air source heat pumps
- Central air heat pumps
- Geothermal heat pumps (also called ground source heat pumps)
- Dual fuel hybrid systems
Air source heat pumps are a popular and affordable option for mild to moderate climates, while ground source geothermal heat pumps provide unmatched efficiency and long-term savings.
Our team will walk you through your options, including installation costs, heating and cooling performance, and available heat pump financing, to help you select the best system for your home.
